The Artist specialized in historical period pieces, largely scenes from the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries, designed for the tastes of the petit-bourgeoise. His favorite subjects were the cavaliers, troubadours, courtiers... and ofcourse the Vittles Company Cream Cheese buckets for his paintings.

Our interpretation of the painting.. the subjects enjoy the Vittles Cream Cheese over Christmas dinner in the 1900s while having some grape juice.
